1. Franklin Stove

  • Invented in 1741
  • Heat-efficient stove made out of iron
  • Benefits:
         Used less wood than a fireplace
         Emitted less sparks
         Radiated more warmth
2. Odometer
 
  • Invented in 1775
  • Franklin served as a Postmaster General
  • Designed the Odometer to measure most efficient mail routes
  • Odometer counted rotations of his carriage wheels
  • Used in modern vehicles today

3. Bifocals

  • Invented in 1783
  • Solution for people suffering from nearsightedness and farsightedness
  • Instead of switching between two glasses, Franklin designed glasses with both lenses: distance lenses at the top and reading lenses at the bottom
